Not unpleasant, but a bit odd, and not very pineapple-ly. Will not repurchase.
very misleading description
They claim 'We prefer our pineapples pure. No added sugar, no preservatives, nothing. All we do is gently bake the fruit so it's easier to munch on the move.' But the pineapple is actually coated with rice flour. I find it ruins the flavour, and I dislike the idea of misleading customers this way.
Taste like old fruit. Not tasty at all.
Tasty enough but a few pieces quite hard/tasteless. Overall a nice snack that's less naughty than some
There are some nice pieces of dried pineapple here but mostly it has a very strange and unpleasant aftertaste, as if the pineapple had passed its best before being dried. I haven't tried any other brands of dried pineapple, so perhaps that's what it's supposed to taste like. I don't think I will buy it again, though.
What's Going On?
I have purchased this treat for as long as Ocado has had it, but for the last two months, it has spiralled to a very low point in quality. From 1/3rd to 1/2 of each small bag is inedible, and is now consistently BAD. I leave this message for both UF and Ocado - describing this product as TERRIBLE is no exaggeration and I can no longer recommend.
