It's good on the whole
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I'm a vegetarian but not a fan of chilli. However, this was quite mild. My reservations are personal to me but I found it a bit sloppy and some of the larger veg chunks were a bit too chewy, almost squeaky. But it looked good and was comforting on a snowy evening.
I enjoyed this vegan meal with a blob of vegan mayo... convenient but not mind blowing
not very good
I got this free to review. I wouldn't say it has "rich and deep" flavour like the package suggests. Nothing but tomato - not very good - and chili. There's hardly any aubergine and it stayed hard after cooking, not very nice, and not a lot more peppers, again odd texture and I don't see why - how can they come out softer frozen by themselves than in this meal? Really can't recommend it, and I eat a lot of ready meal soups and stews so I'm hardly fussy.
A real hearty vegetarian stew. Great flavour and liked by all the family - had it with sweet potato wedges and avocado - would buy again.
Good standby meal
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. It made a pleasant meal, easy to prepare, and nice because it's a tasty vegetarian dish.
good versatile veggie dish
I tried this for the first time and its really nice. A good price for a tasty versatile meal. Im not a big eater so could only manage half a pack with a little rice and some cooked cauliflower. For the next meal, Im going to heat up the second half and have it with an enchilada, topped with avocado, coriander and yogurt. Another time, with grated cheese, grilled maybe. Theres a good balance of flavours, very rich and tomatoey - and is a good base for anyone who likes to pimp up their packet meals. The chilli is just the right amount for me, but not unpleasantly fiery. Would be as good with spaghetti, quinoa, barley or mashed potato. Definitely worth trying at this price.
