Product information

What do you get when you combine a beautiful sunny Mediterranean climate with one of the most isolated countries in the world? Chile, a vine grower's paradise.
At Veramonte, we believe in preserving this paradise. So we are careful to be as sustainable as possible in the winery and we farm all of our vines organically. No nasty chemicals in our vineyards or our wines.
The fruit for this Pinot Noir is grown on our estate in the beautiful Casablanca Valley, where it ripens slowly, thanks to the gentle cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean. When it is ripe, we carefully pick and vinify the grapes, and then age the wine for 8 months in oak barrels, resulting in this fresh, delicate, and silky Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes
Expressive aromas of raspberries, red cherries and cranberry reflect the true characteristics of our coastal vineyards. A delicate wine with a fresh, silky mouthfeel. The seamless balance of acidity and tannins result in a vibrant and complex Pinot Noir
History
The 2015 vintage produced great quality fruit due to low yields and dry growing conditions during spring and summer with wide thermal amplitudes between day and night. Slow ripening of the grapes enabled them to preserve their freshness, flavor, aroma, and an elegant acidity.
Regional Information
Veramonte Pinot Noir is mainly sourced from our Casablanca vineyard with the remaining fruit selected from the foothills of the Andes in the Maule Valley. Casablanca's cool climate conditions and proximity to the ocean deliver freshness and bright acidity, while the Maule grapes provide rich texture and volume.

Vinification Details
Grapes are harvested at night and carefully destemmed in order to ensure whole berry component during cold soak maceration. Grapes are fermented in small open tanks with 100% native yeasts, preserving the natural aromas and flavors of the vineyards. The wine is aged in French and neutral oak for 12 months.

Delicious

We served Veramonte wines at our wedding where they were loved by all our guests. Thought we'd try the Pinot Noir for our anniversary. It's delicious! Buy it!

Lovely Pinot Noir, soft tannins, bright fruit, medium/light body. Slips down very well on an autumn day.
