Intensely aromatic, with mouth-watering flavours of citrus, gooseberry and passion fruit and perfumed with sweet herbaceous notes. Wonderfully crisp and refreshing, with a delicate minerality and a long, lingering finish.
Marlborough, New Zealand is widely considered by many critics to produce the world's best Sauvignon Blanc.
The fruit for this wine is mostly from a single vineyard in the Southern Awatare, which produces some of the best fruit in the district.
The wine is made from parcels from the Wairau plains and Renwick. The Awatare portion is fermented cold and removed from yeast lees immediately to preserve aromatic qualities. The Wairau blend is matured with fine lees for a few months to mature and develop a creamy texture. The wines are blended per-filtration.
