Bodegas Criadores de Rioja has had agreements in place for many years with over 500 families of small growers who devote their lives to growing grapes from one generation to the next. Rioja is the most famous wine region in Spain. Rioja and wine have a relationship that dates back millenia, since the Romans occupied these lands in the 2nd century BC. The marks of grape growing and winemaking have been part of the landscape, since then. The diversity of terroir is reflected in Rioja wines which ranges from easy-drinking young wines to more rustic, fuller styles which are capable to be cellared for years. It is the winemaking process that distinguishes rioja wines from other Spanish wines. Most top red Rioja wines are matured in oak barrels

Grapes were hand-picked. Vinified in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 28°, with several days of maceration after fermentation. Aged in American oak during 14 months
