Far too much vinegar in this
We were expecting a dish like the pad Thai you get in Wagamamas but were super disappointed - it was awful, too much vinegar which killed the flavour of the dish. Not for us!
pad Thai sauce
It ruined my stir fry. It tastes like it’s made from one ingredient. Vinegar! Awful.
Fruity and bitter...
Our usual - Blue Dragon Pad Thai Stir Fry Sauce - wasn't available, so this looked a good alternative. It is terrible, fruity and bitter, nothing at all like Pad Thai. Really disapointing.
sharp sweet and easy
I recognise this isn't for everyone because there are masses of bad reviews, but I absolute love this, and it's become an easy weekly staple. Most of the sauces that you get in a supermarket stir fry deal are over-salty and gross, this is tangy, sweet and really enjoyable.
horrible vinegar taste
As a Chef with nearly 30 years experience I thought this product was horribly vinegary. having picked up some wholegrain rice and a vegetable stir fry mix from Waitrose I thought I'd give the wagamama stir fry sauce range a whirl. I cooked off the veggies with some cashew and my own spice mix, but the sauce was terrible, sour and unsubstantial. I was going to try the satay next but I think I'll stick to Amoy. at least their quality is guaranteed.
horrible
This does not taste like a pad Thai and definitely nothing like the pad Thai style dish you get from Wagamama. No idea what they were thinking. It tastes like vinegar. It doesnt even deserve one star. Avoid.
