Best gammon I have ever tasted, cooked in slow cooker in cider for four hours then covered the top with honey and whole grain mustard and cooked in the oven for 20 minutes, just fell apart when carving and tasted out of this world. Enough for dinner for two with mash and peas and with chips the following day and even a few slices for a sandwich, plenty there and I am generous with my portion sizes.
Not as advertised
When ordered this item stated 'typically 2kg', with a weight range of 1.8-2.2kg. The item arrived at 1.24kg. In the meantime the 'typical' weight has changed on the website to 1.5kg with a range of 1-1.8, so Ocado are refusing a refund even though the item was not as ordered. Avoid this item and avoid Ocado!
Does not feed 15 people!
Ordered for Xmas day meal and purposely ordered as it was typically 2kg on the website which is the size required for my recipe. What was delivered was 1.2kg!! So now there is the dreaded supermarket visit to find the right size - I am wondering what the point of doing this online order was! Very disappointed and won't be using Ocado again unfortunately.
Ive been sent a joint that actually weighs 1.1kg. I doubt it would two adults and two children, let alone the eight Ive got coming for lunch.
nothing like picture
I expected a long gammon joint. This was just like any unsmoked gammon joint. I got half price and still too much. Supposed to feed 15? 15 what? Sparrows? No chance.
This is much smaller than advertised
Not sure what it means - “typically 2 kilograms”, mine was 1 kg which is half the size advertised. Unacceptable. How I am supposed to plan meals?
