Needs quality control
I ordered two of these, one was ok the other was just fat and bone with a slither of gristly meat, nothing like the photo. Surly the butcher who packed them could see that one was really unacceptable. This ruined my meal as am I going to spend 2-3 hours slow cooking one rib for one person and another different meal for the other person!?
Try cooking beef ribs this way
I buy the ribs regularly and they provide a good tasty meal. I’ve read previous reviews and they complain about fatty meat, the fat is what makes the meat flavoursome, it’s exactly the same as Oxtail and needs to be cooked in the same manner. Marinade/cook the ribs as per your favourite recipe, when cooked, cool and refrigerate over night, the following day carefully remove all the solidified fat and discard, return the to the oven and heat through. Cooking this way gives you all the great taste and succulence associated with cheaper fattier cuts of meat without the unhealthy and unpleasant greasiness.
Good but fatty
I bought 2 ribs and was pleased to see that they were big and chunky and of even size. However one was very fatty, roughly 2/3 fat. They cooked well and they were tender and well-flavoured. (I pressure cooked them for 45 mins with natural release in a Korean-style sauce).
The last ones we had were fantastic, but this batch were not so good, there was a lot of tough membrane which was still tough after 45 minutes pressure cooking. Disappointing when you have family over for dinner.
good meat but could be fatty
very good meat and perfect for slow cooking. BUT 4 ribs are really good but 1 rib is covered by fat. after removing fat, it was just not far from a bone
I bought 4 of these 1 for each of us. Got 3 nice and 1 I wouldn’t give the dog, it was just fat and bone, what a let-down. I’m not here to help you off load you’re your poorest quality meat, I am a customer, one of who needs to feed their family. please do better.
