The Waitrose Aberdeen Angus bone in Rib joint is a premium cut of high quality beef. A fantastic centerpiece to any roast with the distinctive bone exposed.
Waitrose Aberdeen Angus beef is produced from cattle sired by registered pedigree Aberdeen Angus bulls. The Aberdeen Angus is a native British breed, whose meat is naturally marbled with fat, making it exceptionally tender and full of flavour. The hindquarters are hung on the bone to mature them, making them flavoursome and tender.

Clueless product description
No rearing or ageing information… Description little more that useless. Best not to buy.
Bought this for Christmas Day dinner and was very disappointed. It was mainly fat and ended up giving most of it to the dogs and throwing it away as it was just riddled with so much fat and inedible . I was I read the previous reviews.
Successful Mothers Day Roast
My first time cooking rib of beef, and it was a great success. The joint was huge, tasty, and there was loads of meat. (I went a bit overboard and got a 3.7kg piece to feed 6. Couldve fed double that generously. Still, the sandwiches were great!)
I must admit I was very disappointed with this joint. It was 75% fat and I ended up throwing most of it away. I would not purchase again.
For that special meal
You will wonder why you didn't purchase this before for a special meal! So delicious we cooked it Jamie Oliver style, with rosemary and garlic rubbed all over it and in the oven fast and hot so that is was beautifully rare. So no getting up at rediculous o'clock to ensure it was cooked in time. It was truly delicious and we had beef sandwiches and cold cuts for many days after.
We had this for Christmas dinner and it was so good! As I cooked it quite rare I put thick slices on the hot griddle with bubble and squeak on Boxing Day just as good!
