I bought this with the intention of cutting it up into small pieces for a stew. I am very glad that was the reason I bought it as there's no way it would have been nice as a roasting joint for Sunday lunch. Very uneven piece with lots of sineu and tissue and fat. It made a very nice stew though..
I usually order this as it's the best of a bad bunch of supermarket meat, for the price and size. I have just had a really tough joint, which was completely inedible. Such a shame as I support what the brand stands for.
Slow cooked a couple of these - they are very small - in a bottle of quality red wine with Coarse Salt, Pepper and Chilli Flakes for about eight hours. The beef was surprisingly dry and bland, not a patch on less expensive beef joints.
