The waste paper is sorted and only the best quality material delivered to a UK mill.
Next the paper is washed with water and printed ink, plastic and staples are removed.
The cleaned paper pulp is pressed, hot air dried and rolled into 'reels'. Excess water is re-used within the factory.
Finally the paper 'logs' are cut into individual toilet rolls, and packed ready for delivery to our stores.

Please replace the plastic packaging with paper.
You should replace all this plastic packaging with paper like some competitors who care more about their environmental impact than yourselves.
Why wouldn't you buy recycled paper loo roll? Embossed rolls, thick and soft enough for me. Wish it wasn't wrapped in plastic – I reuse the bag for rubbish.
plastic wrapped and too expensive
Would be 5 stars if not wrapped in plastic and slightly cheaper. Perfectly good toilet roll otherwise!
Unpleasant and too loosely rolled
This toilet paper is so rough it reminds me of stuff I saw when visiting Eastern Europe in the communist era! Its terrible. Also, the roll itself is so loosely rolled, the cardboard tube inside moves outwards, bringing with it the inner part of the roll, making it a most untidy-looking roll. Would love to buy it for its eco credentials, but its just not worth it.
Strong enough to do the job and doesn't block the bog.
ECO toilet rolls in non-ECO plastic
Waitrose/ Ocado, please can you change the packaging used for your ECO product? Because the packaging can't be recycled we have switched to Cheeky Panda but will switch back when this product is 100% ECO.
