One flash sale I wish I hadn't gone for
This was, without doubt, the toughest steak I have ever encountered. As my other half said, it went down, but not without a fight. And a very sharp knife. I left it to rest, I think it needed a full night's sleep
tough as old boots!
Bought as part of the Valentines dinner. This is the toughest Rump I have ever tried to eat. I couldnt cut it with a steak knife and I couldnt even bite a piece off. Our romantic meal was ruined!
Not great, usually love rump it's a very flavourful cut not as good as fillet obviously but better than sirloin in my opinion. This however was very boring and relied on the butter to save it although it couldn't quite. Very thin, fatty and badly cut fell apart into four dodgy sized steaks. About 1/3rd inedible.
Good weekday steak
We got this in a flash sale. Buying rump meat for a steak always seems weird to me. It’s too low quality to make a steak out of, really. It’s just a big slice of roasting joint. But this was decent and made a good weekday meal. Partner said he definitely prefers better quality meat, but I thought it was fine as just something quick. Wouldn’t pay full price.
I bought on a flash sale, the cuts of meat are so bad Im not even going to cook it, its going straight in the bin
Fried in butter and served with home made oven chips and peas. lovely meal. The steak was tender and more than enough for two people. This us he second time I have purchased it, and not dissapointed.
