I love garlic, but in it's place, it's too powerful for this you can't taste anything else.
Honestly the worst shepherd's pie I've ever had, absolutely nothing good to say about it. Well, the film came off in one piece so that was nice.
This is a new recipe. I really enjoyed the previous version, and was looking forward to a nice shepherd's pie. But oh dear ... like the Cumberland pie, it has an overwhelming taste of garlic that completely masks any other flavour ... like lamb, the sole purpose of a shepherd's pie. I could only manage to get through it with lashings of Worcestershire sauce. There are two more in my fridge, but they're heading for the bin.
Horrible shepherds pie
This was awful - tasteless and more mash than meat.
Where was the meat? What is that strange taste? Maybe go taste Charlie Bigham's and then rethink this horrible offering.
This had no taste and just left my mouth burning with pepper. It was sent as a substitution and it was appalling in fact so bad I am glad that the other one was missing. There was more potato than anything else and the small amount of meat had no taste. I will never buy this again
