Runny and very strong taste
I was really disappointed this year. I am fairly sure I have used this in previous years and it was fine. A lot of apple puree and little fruit. Strange, oversweet, over-spiced flavour that was overpowering in a mince pie. Shame.
runny and overly sweet
First time buying this, disappointed. Very runny and far too sweet. Has a chemical smell and initial taste, possibly the cheap brandy. Fine as an emergency but would rather make my own!
Excellent
Really flavoursome and works well in cakes and bakes. I often buy, even outside of Christmas time. Not sure why it has some poor reviews. Its a 5 star product for me.

bought for 50p on clearance. best before end October 2019. I will use this to make a few bakes at easter. will get one for my mum if still available next order too.

Its more like runny jam with a sprinkling of sultanas and currants.
