Nice toasted
I only had this toasted and really enjoyed it. The bread has a nice caramelised flavour even if it had a bit of an unusual texture. All in all it was a very nice change and I would buy again.
Good bread but has big whole in middle?
the bread is decent and very soft but I know have received 2 packs with a huge whole in the middle of the loaf. the first slice is ok but then rest of bread is barely even half a slice worth... cannot do much with it.
Bread has a hole.
This loaf consistently arrives with a big hole through the whole centre of the loaf. The slices are small to start with and losing a 2-3 inch circle from the centre makes for some very sad sandwiches.
Great For Toasted Sandwiches
Hubby for a new sandwich maker for Fathers Day, we made cheese toasties with this bread and they came out really well. One star knocked off as its a tiny loaf!
Not For Me.
The first thing that struck me about this bread is its strange colour. A bit like the emulsion paints with a hint of blue/grey. Not appetising. I persevered. Next was the texture in the mouth, it was like fine sand, even checked the lettuce in the sandwich. But the next slice was no different. I tried it a third time and by now I had to remove the crusts because I could not swallow. Did I have a rogue bad loaf or is this usual for Warburtons Gluten Free white. The rest of the loaf went out for the birds. Thank goodness for flash sales. But for some this might be what you want so don’t let me put you off.
Difficult to swallow
I have been trying out different gluten free breads to see which is the most palatable and suits my digestion. Unfortunately, this did not pass the test. I found that in a sandwich it was quite difficult to swallow, as it clung in the mouth, requiring one to have a drink of water to hand. Will not be buying again.
