Wholegood sources organic produce from small and medium sized farms that care about the soil they grow in as much as the flavour it produces. It's not aesthetically perfect, exteriors can sometimes be blemished and shaped a bit wonky, but this does not compromise flavour.

Our Organic Ruby Grapefruits are juicy and flavourful. Cut them open to ruby-like shades of bright pinks and reds, their gem-like segments each packing a punch of that distinctive tangy-tart taste; not too sweet, and with a complex mild bitterness for balance. Their outer skins are beautifully muddled yellow, pink and green, and are thick but with a little give when ripe, easy to grip and peel to the beautiful fruit enfleshed in the pith inside. Their Organic growing can mean they are varied in sizes or have mild scarring to their skin but will not affect their flavour or quality.

Vibrant, refreshing, with notes of sweet, sour as well as bitter, grapefruits are a popular choice for cocktails. We freshly press ours and enjoy a twist on the classic Negroni. To make a grapefruit negroni, you combine gin, sweet vermouth, Campari, and fresh grapefruit juice. Then shake the mixture with ice and garnish with a grapefruit wedge – their colour always grabs attention. Some homemade grapefruit marmalade mixed in there or dabbed along the rim, adds a zesty surprise.
