Our Organic Clementines come unwaxed and packed by weight (600g) the number of fruits will vary depending on size during the season. Pocket sized bursts of flavour, these juicy citruses are smaller and sweeter than regular oranges. Easy to peel, they pack bright acidity and freshness. Preparation and Usage
| Zest them, juice them, cook them or enjoy as is. Clementines are a delicious fruit enjoyed in several ways. For a special treat, enjoy them spiced and poached – simmering in spiced syrup until tender and decadently aromatic. Make sure to peel well, removing all their white pitch before simmering them in a mix of red wine, sugar water and spices like vanilla, cardamom, cloves and star anise. Once sufficiently softened, remove the clementines and place atop mounds of whipped cream or Greek yoghurt. Continue to cook down the liquid until it turns to syrup and pour over the clementines to cool and macerate together. Serve with a drizzle of dark chocolate, shaving of nutmeg and crushed pistachios. |
