It's not aesthetically perfect, exteriors can sometimes be blemished and shaped a bit wonky, but this does not compromise flavour. Our Organic Curly Kale boasts of a gorgeous verdant appearance and intense cruciferous flavour. A choice addition to salads, our leafy Kale is selected for crisp leaves and tender stalks. Organic growing can lead to slightly torn, bruised or yellow leaves on the outside of the kale head, which just need to be peeled and trimmed away. Thoroughly wash your kale before consumption, as dirt can find space in the natural crevices of the curly kale. Kale can be unpredictably bitter. To tackle this, massage it with an acid like lemon juice to soften the leaves and break down bitterness. You can also reduce removing the thicker stems. Good for you, good for the planet. |

Preparation and Usage
| Enjoy your Kale with this satisfying crackling recipe. After giving your kale head a good thorough wash, massage the leaves with a neutral oil and let sit for an hour. Then pick apart the leaves from the stem, and place on top of each other to fold and shred finely. These shredded leaves can then be crisped up quickly in an air fryer or with some deep frying. Toss the crispy shreds with salt, sugar, crushed red chillies and a tablespoon of toasted sesame oil. |
