As a distant relative of parsley and carrots, it won't come as a surprise to learn that the aromatic, alluring aniseed flavour of fennel is ideally suited to accompany a wide array of fish and chicken dishes, as well as potatoes, hard cheeses like Parmesan or maybe submerged in a decadent olive oil based dressing.
In addition to providing a rich potassium content that is handy in the context of helping reduce high blood pressure and lessening the likelihood of a stroke or heart attack, fennel is also full of anethole which helps support a healthy liver.

the photo is deceiving!!
I received 3 super small fennels - thin and sick looking. Nothing to do with then lush fennel in the photo. Considering I had to remove the outlayers because they were dry and brown I was left with very little to play with
two rather than one
the past few deliveries contained two small bulbs having good flavour, crunch and freshness. however having two bulbs rather than one big one means two woody centres rather than one so more wastage and less fennel to eat.
Wholegood Organic Fennel
Receive two bulbs with compo bag. Usually excellent condition and very tasty. Usually eat raw and great for summer salads. Buy frequently.
Two lovely fennel
brilliant compostable packaging containing two nice looking medium fennel.
Beautiful quality, eco packaging
I was very surprised at the reviews below. I received two beautiful fennel bulbs - crisp, fresh and flavourful. And to their huge credit they are one of the few suppliers putting their products in compostable, genuinely recyclable packaging. The bulbs came in a home-composting net bag. When 98 percent of my Ocado shop arrives wrapped in plastic - unforgiveable, considering the plastic crisis we're in - Whole Good deserve a medal for this.
Dirty, badly bruised/aged, but tastes great!!!
3 very small bulbs, dirty even between the layers as you peeled each one off. Very bruised/translucent and had to throw a lot away (possibly good for stock pot, poss not) The tiny amount left over after cleaning tasted delicious. Sort out the quality and these will be awesome.
