It's not aesthetically perfect, exteriors can sometimes be blemished and shaped a bit wonky, but this does not compromise flavour.
Nectarines are a popular stone fruit, and the smooth-skinned variety of the well-known peach. Our organic nectarines are tantalisingly sweet and juicy, and have glossy skin dappled white, yellow, pink and shades of dark crimson based on their variety. Once optimally ripe, the fruit dimples easily to reveal yellow or white coloured saccharine soft flesh inside. These stone fruits arrive as the first of the season, they may be slightly smaller in calibre during the initial few weeks, and will reach optimal sizing at the peak of the harvest.

Sweet nectarines are juicy and soft fleshed, making them wonderful additions to fresh salads in the summer. We recommend adding thinly sliced nectarines to a preparation with an earthy or bitter leaf like arugula, and topping it with candied walnuts or pecans, and soft salty cheese like a fresh feta. Finish with a tart dressing like pomegranate molasses and lemon to round off all the flavour notes and enjoy a nutritious fresh salad - seasonal and wonderfully textural.
