It's not aesthetically perfect, exteriors can sometimes be blemished and shaped a bit wonky, but this does not compromise flavour. Our Organic peaches herald the much awaited summer stone fruits. Peaches dimple under mild pressure when they are absolutely ready to eat. Covered in thin fuzzy skin, their soft flesh inside can be both yellow or white, and tends to have a juicy yet creamy bite with almost velvety fibres when optimally ripe. These stone fruits arrive as the first of the season, they may be slightly smaller in calibre during the initial few weeks, and will reach optimal sizing at the peak of the harvest. Good for you, good for the planet. |

Preparation and Usage
| Fresh peaches are a delight that are best enjoyed with minimal preparation. High heat helps caramelise their natural sugars, and so we love grilling, baking or searing them. For a quick and satisfying dessert, half your peaches and remove their stone. Heat up a skillet with some melted butter and brown sugar and add your peach halves facing down for about 8-10 min at high heat. Flip them facing back up for the last few minutes and take them out once the fleshy surface has caramelised and released its juices. Serve the cooked fruit with a scoop of clotted cream or vanilla ice cream dusted with cinnamon for a real treat. |
