packaging is ridiculous
I bought this as a replacement for my usual pomegranate which was out of stock, and it came in the most ridiculous packaging. Its a single pomegranate but was in a net- unnecessary. Now the net was 100% compostable, which is great but the label which was informing you of this lovely fact - NOT RECYCLABLE and its twice the size of the net!!! Seriously cant believe this... Havent even tried the product yet, but this is making me not want to repurchase.
I ordered three on one order, one was rotten. I ordered three on the next order, and all three were rotten and mouldy inside. Very disappointing as I was enjoying delicious fresh pomegranates in Turkey last week that were bursting with juice, not wizened unlike the ones Ocado are selling here at over-inflated prices.
Of the seeds i could extract they were red and juicy and tasty. Unfortunately the pod was rotting around the seeds and all the pith was rotting and brown and it was hard to extract the seeds as I'd usually just eat a bit of pith i wasn't eating rotting pith so it was hard. Makes me question the freshness and quality for if to be so brown. Disappointing but I'd give it another chance if on sale. Expensive for a pomegranate at full price i think even without rotting risk
Big, tasty and in a good quality
Bought this a few times and always rotten inside. £1 each everywhere else, expected more.
Best pomegranate Ive had so far.
