Until the season starts in the UK in June we source our Organic berries from Flor Doñana Biorganic who are based in the Flor Doñana National park in Andalusia, Spain. Juan Maria has been committed exclusively to organic farming on his land for the past 18 years and is the only producer to be solely Organic in the region.
At Wholegood we focus on seasonal produce with as much produce coming from the UK as possible. This is of course easier in the summer months than say January but we always do our best. We also work closely with growers in Italy, France and Spain. The ginger come by boat from China or Peru; we never airfreight.
We are an organic wholesaler in London sourcing some of the finest produce in the land for restaurants, retailers and schools. We are delighted to now be including homes in to the mix by working exclusively with Ocado to deliver out fruit, vegetables and salads. We have always loved the idea of delivering to homes but didn't like the ""leave it outside your front door in the rain"" part of the business but this problem is solved with Ocado!

Squashy and mouldy within a day
Covered in mould
I was tempted by the lower price of the Wholegood brand despite having no good experiences in the past and yet again the same thing - mouldy within 24 hours of delivery so went in the compost. What will Ocado offer when they lose Duchy originals? They MUST address this poor quality organic offering.
Bit expensive but perfect fruit
To be fair, these were on offer so the expensive comment shouldn't apply, but I'd think the normal price a bit much. However, the flavour and quality were excellent.
I should know by now not to buy delicate fruit & vegetables from Ocado. You never know what the picking/packing process will result in. This time it was raspberry juice all over the contents of a bag & fruit only fit for coulis after a lot of picking over.
although these raspberries arrived a bit squashed, they were nice and sweet.
I've tasted worse, but I'm not sure how many commercially supplied raspberries can compare to freshly picked from your garden.
