Brand details
In 2008, a wild and rugged stretch of coastline on the north-eastern tip of New Zealand’s South Island became home to one of the most sustainable wineries in the world. We opened the doors to our state-of-the-art, custom-built winery on 08.08.08, and became the first winery in the world to be Toitū carbonzero certified from inception.
Seaview Vineyard, the home of Yealands Wines, was once a rugged, rolling stretch of pastoral land, that was thought to be too wild, windswept and undulating for growing grapes. Never being shy of a challenge we saw huge potential in this sensational coastal location. Today, Seaview Vineyard is one of the most dramatic and exciting vineyards in Marlborough, its folded landscape creating micro climates of growing conditions that provide thrilling variety across our varietals.
From installing the largest solar panel array on our winery roof, to bailing and burning our vine prunings to heat our water, our vision is to push boundaries, think innovatively and to produce some of the most exceptional, and sustainable, wines around.
