Brand
Here at Yorkshire Tea we know that the best tea is about the best blend of leaves. And the finest blend we make is Yorkshire Gold.
We choose teas from our three favourite origins - Assam for richness and body, Kenya for vibrancy, and Rwanda for its beautiful golden glow - and we buy them from the top ten tea gardens in the world.
Back home in Yorkshire, our experts blend these luxury leaves together to make a rich, smooth and incredibly satisfying brew.
Oh, and like all our products, it's completely CarbonNeutral.®
We work hard to make a brew you'll be proud of and because of you, we've been able to do lots of good stuff around the world - like planting millions of trees, investing in our tea growing communities and supporting grassroots cricket.

not dark or so tannic
disappointed with this tea. compared to the one I had before (M&S maybe?) it was much weaker, i.e. needed much more to be put into the pot to make the same strength of tea. Also didn't have a strong 'tea' taste - no tannins etc detectable. Also much duster than others - the second cup out of the pot was grey and murky with the amount of dust that had slipped through the filter. Expected more for the name and the price - would not recommend. Tea's grim up north.
twigs!
the amounts of detritus in the bag! bits of stalk etc?? the Red variety is much better. no odd bits, and a decent brew. the Gold variety is both weak and bitter. and full of twigs! haha i shall stick the Red :)
Delicious tea
Having tried this it was remarkably good. Always use loose leaf tea, and favourite brand is now texture of dust. This is a beautifully well flavoured tea and the best of the widely available brands. For one person the tea bags are excellent too.
The best
Have tried more expensive premium teas, but this is still the best.
Eco friendly
As Im not happy with the micro plastics associated with tea bags we have reverted to using loose leaf tea and Im so glad that we have. On drinking my first cup, I was immediately transported back to my childhood, when tea tasted like tea! In fact I was surprised how much difference it made, and realised how we had been accepting an inferior taste for many years. So if youre in two minds whether to try it or not - go for it, youll be glad you did, its definitely worth the extra effort. Also because the leaves of this particular tea are quite large, theres no seepage through our tea strainer (readily & cheaply available on that well known auction site) into the cup.
