We've used honey for natural sweetness and a beaten egg to help bind these chewy oats together, simple, delicious, and perfect for lunchboxes. This recipe makes 25 bite-sized flapjacks.

Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 125g runny honey
- 1 medium egg, beaten
- 250g jumbo oats, we used Mornflake
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 ∘C/160 ∘ C fan/gas 4.Step 2
Line a 20cm square baking tin with baking parchment.Step 3
Add the butter and honey to a large pan. Melt over a low heat. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool for 5 mins.Step 4
Stir through the egg and then the oats. Mix until fully combined.Step 5
Tip the mixture into the tin and press down with the back of a spoon until level.Step 6
Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden. Leave to cool completely in the tin before slicing into 25 pieces.
