The Appeletto Sour has all the drama of an amaretto sour – frothy top included – but uses apple juice and almond extract instead of liqueur. Created by Kate Calder, author of Three Ingredient Cocktails: 60 Drinks Made In Minutes (And Snacks To Go With Them), the alcohol-free tipple is delicious served with her Crab and Celeriac Crostini, for an extra-special cocktail hour. Ingredients
- 120 ml of cloudy apple juice
- 1 tbsp of almond extract
- 1 egg white (or use ¼ pack oggs aquafaba if vegan)
- 2 cocktail cherries, to garnish
Method
Step 1
Fill a tumbler with ice and set aside.Step 2
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add the apple juice, almond extract and egg white, then shake for 20 secs. Strain into the tumbler; garnish with the cherries.
