These colourful M&M'S granola bars make a sweet and tasty treat. Perfect for when you are on-the-go, packed lunches or an afternoon pick me up. Add toasted peanuts or salty pretzels for extra crunch.

Ingredients

  • 30g unsalted butter
  • 60ml runny honey
  • 45g brown sugar
  • 80g peanut or almond butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 pint ground cinnamon
  • 180g rolled oats
  • 150g Milk Chocolate M&M'S, 75g chopped, 75g whole

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat the oven to 180ºC/ 160ºC fan/ gas 4. Grease and line a 20cm square baking tin.
  • Step 2

    Set a small pan over medium-low heat, add the butter, runny honey and sugar. Stir until the butter has melted and sugar dissolved, about 3-5 mins.
  • Step 3

    Stir through the nut butter, vanilla and cinnamon until smooth. Remove from heat
  • Step 4

    Stir in the oats and fold in 75g chopped Milk Chocolate M&M'S. Scrape into the tin then press down firmly in to an even layer. Sprinkle over the remaining 75g whole M&M’S and bake for 12-15 mins, or until golden brown.
  • Step 5

    Leave in the tin to cool completely then cut in to 12 bars.
