Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp of sunflower oil
  • 150 g of canned sweetcorn, drained
  • 500 g of uncle ben's chilli con carne sauce, medium or hot, depending on your preference
  • 250 g of uncle ben's long grain boil in bag rice
  • 500 g of lean minced beef
  • 1 green pepper, deseeded and diced

Method

  • Step 1

    Add oil to a heated frying pan, then add the minced beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook for 4 minutes. Next add the green pepper and cook for a further minute.
  • Step 2

    Add 250g of Uncle Ben's Long Grain Boil in Bag rice to a pan of boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Step 3

    Whilst the rice is cooking, open the jar of Uncle Ben's Chilli con Carne and pour over the minced beef and peppers. Add the drained sweetcorn, stir and bring to a gentle simmer and continue to cook for 8 minutes, stirring occassionally.
  • Step 4

    Carefully remove the rice bags from the water and drain. Tear open the bags and serve with the chilli.
