
Black Cherry Madeleine Trifle

Ingredients
- 6 dessert spoons of raspberry liqueur, or raspberry cordial, if making for children
- 500 ml of vanilla custard
- 1 small handful of flaked almonds, lightly toasted, to decorate
- 350 g of mixed berries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries work well
- 1 pack of bonne maman madeleines
- 500 ml of double cream
- 6 dessert spoons of bonne maman black cherry conserve
Method
Step 1
Put the berries into a saucepan, add one dessert spoon of water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute. Allow to cool.Step 2
Break up the Madeleines and divide between six individual sundae glasses, pressing down into the base.Step 3
Pour one dessert spoon of raspberry liqueur (or cordial) onto each Madeleine base.Step 4
Top with a dessert spoon of Bonne Maman Black Cherry Conserve.Step 5
Divide the cooled berries between the glasses.Step 6
Add a layer of custard.Step 7
Whip the double cream until it is floppy. Fill each glass with a layer of cream.Step 8
Decorate with almonds.Step 9
Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.
