Inspired by the chocolate and cherry flavours of everyone’s favourite retro dessert, the Black Forest Gateau Shot is a sweet dinner party-friendly tipple that works well served alongside (or instead of) a fruity dessert. Dreamt up by mixologist and author of Aperitif, Kate Hawkings, it layers creamy liqueur over her deep ruby-red Forest Fruits and Pepper Syrup. Ingredients
- 15 ml of de kuyper cherry brandy liqueur, chilled
- 15 ml of mozart chocolate cream liqueur, chilled
Method
Step 1
Pour 15ml Forest Fruits and Pepper Syrup (see above) into a shot glass. Add the cherry brandy liqueur.Step 2
Carefully pour the chocolate cream liqueur over the back of a teaspoon on top – don’t stir or the mixture might curdle. Serve immediately.
