Blackbean, avocado and pepper sarnies Protein packed sandwiches to power you up for the day! Recipe Number 23 is the GRADZ Gluten free sourdough dark bread with seeds We worked hard to develop our gluten free bread, it has a careful blend of grains and pulses so it has a wonderful flavour, appearance and texture too. We have added seeds too which boosts the nutritional benefits of the breads and ads to the great taste.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 8 slices of gradz sourdough
- 400 g of black beans, (drained and rinsed)
- 1 pinch of chilli flakes
- 0.5 lemon juice
- 1 clove of garlic, (grated)
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- 1 pinch of black pepper, (freshly ground)
- 1 handful of baby spinach leaves
- 1 avocado,, halved, stoned, peeled and sliced (toss in lemon juice to prevent discoloration)
- 2 tomatoes, (Sliced)
- 1 yellow pepper, (halved, de-seeded and sliced)
- 2 spring onions, (trimmed and finely sliced )
Method
Step 1
Add the black beans, chilli flakes, lemon juice and garlic to a bowl and mash with a fork. Season and set asideStep 2
Lay the slices of bread out on a board and top half of them with the spinach, bean mixture, avocado, tomato, pepper and spring onions. Season again if wish and top with remaining bread slices.Step 3
Tip: Drizzle over your favourite chilli sauce to add extra heat if you wish
