This Boozy Mudslide Cola Float recipe was whipped up by Terri Mercieca, chef and founder of artisan ice-cream parlour Happy Endings, as a joyful nod to 1990s happy hours. It’s a fun cocktail-meets-dessert, made from vodka teamed with coffee and chocolate liqueurs, vanilla ice cream and a bottle of cola for a fizzy touch. Ingredients
- 50ml vodka
- 50ml coffee liqueur
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 40ml chocolate liqueur
- 1 (275ml) bottle cola, chilled
Method
Step 1
Chill 2 tall glasses in the fridge for at least 30 mins before servinStep 2
Fill a cocktail shaker or clean lidded jam jar with ice, then add the vodka and coffee liqueur. Shake for 30 secs, then strain evenly into the chilled glasses.Step 3
Add a scoop of ice cream to each glass, then pour 20ml chocolate liqueur over each. Divide the cola between the glasses, carefully pouring it down the side, and watch it fizz! Pop in a straw or spoon and dive in
