
Brie & Beef Burgers

Ideal for a quick dinner for the family, and perfect for entertaining with friends in the sun, this dish is ideal with Hardy's Anniversary Shiraz 2011. Time and servings

Ingredients
- 250 g of sausagemeat
- 200 g of brie
- 30 g of butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp of wholegrain mustard
- 2 tbsp of chopped parsley
- 500 g of minced beef
Method
Step 1
Remove the mince and sausagemeat from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. This make it easier to shape into burgers. Turn the grill on to its highest level.Step 2
Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion and cook until softened.Step 3
Place the mince and sausagemeat into a bowl and add the mustard, parsley, onion and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.Step 4
Remove the rind from the brie and cut it into 6 pieces.Step 5
Divide the mince mixture into 6 portions, place a piece of brie in the centre of each portion and shape into patties, enclosing the brie.Step 6
Lightly coat the burgers with oil and place under the grill. Cook for 3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or 5-6 minutes for well-done.
