By OcadoLifePublished on 24 April 2022A springtime riff on a classic, this Bright Skies Gin Daiquiri adds floral notes to the sweet-sour daiquiri in the form of violet gin and elderflower liqueur. It looks extra pretty with fruity ice cubes – simply half-fill an ice-cube tray with cooled freshly boiled water, add berries or chopped pieces of orange or lime, freeze for 2-3 hrs, then top up the tray with more water and freeze overnight.

Ingredients

  • 80 ml of violet gin
  • 40 ml of white rum
  • 40 ml of elderflower liqueur
  • 20 ml of lime juice, plus 2 lime slices

Method

  • Step 1

    Put the gin, rum, elderflower liqueur and lime juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker or clean jam jar and shake

  • Step 2

    Strain into ice-filled tumblers and garnish each with a lime slice.
