Broccoli and Cauliflower Gratin

Ingredients

  • 25 g of plain flour
  • 600 g of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 250 g of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tsp of dijon mustard
  • 250 ml of semi skimmed milk
  • 25 g of parmesan, finely grated
  • 25 g of flora buttery
  • 4 tbsp of hellmann's real mayonnaise
  • 50 g of mature cheddar, grated

Method

  • Step 1

    Cook the cauliflower in boiling water for 5-6 minutes, adding the broccoli for the last 3-4 minutes.
  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, place the Flora, flour and milk in a saucepan and, stirring continuously, bring to the boil. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened and smooth.
  • Step 3

    Stir the mayonnaise, mustard and half the cheeses into the sauce, and season with black pepper.
  • Step 4

    Drain the vegetables and place in an ovenproof dish. Pour over the sauce and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  • Step 5

    Place under a hot grill until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Step 6

    Serve with rice or potatoes.
