This porridge recipe is pretty great.
We think even Goldilocks would approve. We know that the purists will probably
frown upon our rather unconventional technique, but by adding a little nut
butter during the cooking stage you get a subtle nuttiness running throughout
your porridge which is pretty darn tasty.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 2 tsps of cacao nibs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 75 g of oatmeal
- 4 tablespoons of hazelnut butter
- 1 banana, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of hazelnuts, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons of honey, optional
- 225 ml of almond milk
Method
Step 1
Put the oatmeal and milk into a medium pan over a medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until bubbling, then turn down the heat and simmer, stirring, until creamy. Stir in the cacao nibs and salt, then take off the heat.Step 2
Briefly stir the hazelnut butter into the porridge and divide between two bowls. Add the sliced banana to the top, sprinkle with the chopped hazelnuts and drizzle with honey, if you want extra sweetness.
