
Carrots and Parsnips in White Wine and Thyme

Ingredients
- 175 ml of white wine
- 500 g of carrots, peeled and cut in half lengthways then cut diagonally in half inch sizes
- 500 g of parnsips, peeled and cut in half lengthways then cut diagonally in half inch sizes
- 1 small bunch of thyme
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp of caster sugar
- 0.5 tsp of salt
- 0.5 tsp of white pepper
Method
Step 1
Place all of the ingredients and 125ml of water in a saucepan, bring to the boil and mix well.Step 2
Place a lid on the pan and simmer for 20-30 minutes depending on how you like your carrots cooked.Step 3
Drain and serve. For a crispier skin finish in the oven.
