Ingredients

  • 150 g of self-raising wholemeal flour
  • 150 g of plain flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 1 tsp of bicarb of soda
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 300 g of natural yogurt
  • 30 g of strong cheddar
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary

Method

  • Step 1

Preheat the oven to 190°C/170°C fan/gas 5. Mix the flours, bicarbonate of soda and salt together. Stir in the yogurt and knead to a dough. Grate in the cheese leaving a little for the top, knead again and form into a ball.
  • Step 2

Sprinkle a little flour on a baking sheet and place a few sprigs of rosemary on. Place the bread on top and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Cut a deep cross in the dough, place another sprig of rosemary on top and bake for 22-30 mins.
