This Cherry Firefly cocktail from chef, presenter and bestselling author John Gregory-Smith is a lively, fruity little number. He’s gone for cherry gin here, but you can use vodka if you want a more classic firefly.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 720ml pink grapefruit juice
- 300ml cherry gin or vodka (or regular gin or vodka)
- 2 limes, cut into wedges, plus extra twists of zest to garnish (optional)
- 360ml grenadine
Method
Step 1
Combine the grapefruit juice and gin in a jug and stir to mix well.Step 2
Fill 6 glasses with ice; add 1-2 lime wedges to each.Step 3
Pour over the grapefruit mix, then add 60ml grenadine to each glass (it will sink to the bottom). Add the lime twists (if using) and serve with a flourish!
