Chicken Dippers

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • 6 tbsp of sunflower oil
  • 20 g of parmesan cheese, grated
  • 20 g of cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 tbsp of dried breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 tsp of paprika
  • 0.5 tsp of cayenne pepper, or less, if you prefer
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 chicken breasts, around 250g in total, cut into 1cm strips

Method

  • Step 1

    Mix together the cheeses, breadcrumbs, paprika, cayenne pepper and seasoning, and place in a shallow dish
  • Step 2

    Put the beaten egg in another dish and the flour in a third
  • Step 3

    Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Step 4

    Pour the oil into a frying pan over a medium heat.
  • Step 5

    Fry the chicken dippers in batches, taking care not to overfill the pan, and sauté for about 2 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through - drain on absorbent kitchen paper and serve.
