
Chicken Gyros

The M&S Chicken Shawarma is perfectly seasoned and slow-cooked for maximum flavour, so all you have to do is pop it in the oven to enjoy succulent, tender chicken in no time at all. This pairs perfectly with oregano chunky chips, stuffed into a Greek-style
flatbread with the creamiest Collection Tzatziki and homemade salad. This makes for a perfect midweek dinner to impress, with minimal effort required.

Ingredients
- 8 M&S British Chicken Shawarma
- 800g M&S chunky chips
- 2 tbsp Pickled Red Onions
- 2 baby gem, shredded
- 300g cherry tomatoes, sliced
- 1 handful mint leaves, roughly chopped
- 2 lemons, 1 juiced, 1 cut to slices
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 M&S Greek Style Flatbreads
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 170g M&S Collection Creamy Greek Yogurt Tzatziki
Method
Step 1
Heat the oven to 220°C/ 200°C fan/ gas 7. Line a baking tray with foil and top with a wire grill rack.Step 2
Remove all packaging and set sachets from the chicken box to one side. Drain and reserve any juices in the chicken packet and transfer the chicken to the rack on the baking tray, with the fat facing upwards. Set on the middle shelf of the oven and cook for 20 mins.Step 3
Spread the chips over a baking sheet and add to the oven after the chicken has cooked for 10 mins.Step 4
Remove the chicken from the oven and pour over the reserved juices. Increase the oven temperature to 240°C/ 220°C fan/ gas 8. Return to the oven for 8 mins more.Step 5
Meanwhile, prepare the salad. Toss the pickled onions, baby gem, tomatoes and chopped mint in a mixing bowl. Squeeze over the lemon juice and drizzle with oil. Season to taste.Step 6
Remove the chicken and chips from the oven. Add the flatbreads to the oven and warm through for 2-3 mins.Step 7
Shred the chicken and carefully discard the bones. Toss with the garlic sauce, crispy onions and seasoning sprinkle.Step 8
Add the oregano to the chips, toss well and season to taste.Step 9
Serve the flatbreads topped with tzatziki, chips, chicken, salad and lemon slices for squeezing.
