Ingredients
- 2 slices brioche loaf
- 1 heaped tsp almond butter
- 3 (approx.) chocolate marzipan balls, chopped
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp semi-skimmed milk
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 tsp unsalted butter
- 0.5 tbsp toasted flaked almonds
- 0.5 tsp icing sugar, for dusting
Method
Step 1
Place the brioche slices on a board and spread one with the almond butter. Sprinkle over the chopped marzipan balls, then sandwich with the second brioche slice, pressing down firmly.Step 2
Beat the egg with the vanilla extract, milk and sea salt.Step 3
Melt the butter in a frying pan over a medium heat until bubbling. Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture for 30 secs on each side. Fry for 2 mins or so on each side until golden. Scatter over the almonds and finish with a dusting of icing sugar.
