
Crispy Gnocchi Fish and Pea Pie

Switch out a classic mashed potato top on fish pie for crispy, golden gnocchi with this tasty recipe from M&S. Made with frozen sofrito and a fish pie mix this dish is packed with speedy shortcuts for a midweek dinner.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil, plus a splash
- 100g M&S Soffritto Mix, frozen
- 300ml single cream
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 15g parsley, finely chopped
- 100g M&S 3-Year-Old Cornish Cruncher Vintage Cheddar, grated
- 1 x 400g pack M&S Fish Pie Mix
- 150g British Garden Peas, frozen
- 1 x 500g pack potato gnocchi
Method
Step 1
Heat the oven to 200°C/ 180°C fan/ gas 6.Step 2
Heat a large ovenproof pan over a medium heat with a little olive oil. Add the soffritto mix and cook for 5 mins until softened.Step 3
Pour in the single cream and bring to the boil, then remove from the heat.Step 4
Whisk in the Dijon mustard, parsley and cheese. Season, then fold in the fish pie mix and peas.Step 5
In a separate bowl, toss the gnocchi with 1 tbsp olive oil, then scatter them evenly over the fish mixture.Step 6
Bake for 20–25 mins, until the gnocchi are golden and the fish is cooked through.
