Get fizzy with this colourful Cynar Spritz from Kathy Kordalis – food stylist and author of Cocktails & Canapes. “Cynar is a bittersweet, herbaceous Italian aperitif, which makes for a zippy tipple paired with prosecco and clementine. Here I’ve used equal amounts
of frozen cranberries and cherries but any frozen berry works well.” Time and servings

Ingredients
- 0.5 handful frozen cranberries
- 0.5 handful frozen cherries
- 2 clementines, 1½ juiced (to give approx. 50ml), remaining ½ cut into thin slices to serve
- 50ml Cynar
- 50ml soda water
- 50ml prosecco
Method
Step 1
Fill a large glass with ice. Add the berries and clementine juice, then stir.Step 2
Pour in the Cynar and top up with the soda water and prosecco.Step 3
Drop in the clementine slices and serve immediately.
