Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 2 strawberries
  • 2 mango chunks
  • 1 kiwi
  • 100g white, milk or dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 100g white fondant icing
  • 100g black fondant icing
  • 8 giant chocolate buttons

Method

  • Step 1

Prepare the fruit for decorating: we used halved bananas, whole strawberries, and matchbox-sized chunks of mango and kiwi. Push a cake pop stick or straw into each one. Dip into melted chocolate (white, milk or dark) and decorate with your chosen toppings – try chopped roasted hazelnuts or desiccated coconut.
  • Step 2

Make eyes from white fondant icing rolled into pea-sized balls and flattened slightly. Add smaller black fondant icing balls for pupils. Or create a big Cyclops eye with a chocolate button – also good for ears, and halved for mouths. Dab melted chocolate onto the back of eyes, and other features, to fix them to the fruit.
  • Step 3

Place upright in a tall glass and chill for 20 mins to set. These are best eaten on the same day.
