Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 splash milk
- 1 knob butter
- 3 hot cross buns of your choice, halved
- 4 streaky bacon rashers
- 2 (approx.) good drizzles maple syrup
Method
Step 1
Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat with the milk and a pinch of salt.Step 2
Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Briefly soak the bun halves in the egg mixture, then fry until golden on both sides (you may need to do this in batches).Step 3
Meanwhile, fry the bacon in a separate pan until crispy.Step 4
To serve, arrange the bun halves in stacks, top with the crispy bacon and drizzle generously with maple syrup.
