Ingredients

  • 150 g of apple and pear peelings
  • 300 ml of white wine or cider vinegar

Method

  • Step 1

    Fill a glass jar with the fruit peelings and any leftover cores. Pour over the vinegar, pop the lid on and leave to infuse for a couple of weeks.
  • Step 2

    Strain the fruit from the vinegar and pour into a clean bottle. Use in place of regular vinegar (in salad dressing, for instance) for an extra fruity flavour.
