
Garlic Prawns

A quick and easy tapas dish that's bursting with Spanish flavours. King prawns are tossed with garlic, onion, red chillis and smoked paprika for a fresh and spicy seafood dish your friends will love – a perfect sharing plate for dining al fresco in the summer. Cook with either fresh or frozen king prawns.Time and servings

Ingredients
- 350 g of raw king prawns, defrosted if frozen
- 5 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 0.5 onion, finely chopped
- 2 red chillies, deseeded and chopped
- 1 tbsp of smoked paprika
- 5 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 splash of brandy
- 1 bunch of fresh parsley, chopped
Method
Step 1
Heat the oil in a pan over a low/medium heat and add the garlic, onion, chillies and paprika. Cook for 5 mins, until the onion is soft.Step 2
Add the prawns to the pan with the brandy, and increase the heat slightly. Cook until the prawns have turned dark pink, around 5 mins.Step 3
Toss the parsley through just before serving.
