
Gem lettuce in dill and garlic dressing

Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves, finely grated
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 large pinch of sugar
- 2 heads of little gem lettuce (or 1 large romaine lettuce)
- 1 tbsp of white wine vinegar
- 1 heaped tsp of english mustard
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 bunch of dill, chopped
Method
Step 1
Place the garlic, lemon juice and sugar in a jar or small bowl and set aside for 10 mins.Step 2
Meanwhile, break the lettuce into separate leaves and scatter over a large serving platter.Step 3
Add the vinegar, English mustard and oil to the garlic and lemon mixture, season, and shake or stir well to combine. Stir in the chopped dill, then drizzle over the lettuce leaves just before serving.
